Stackpole Moore Tryon’s rich history was just one of the reasons why Ron and Jody Morneault chose to acquire the upscale clothier in 2007.
Stackpole Moore Tryon has been a Hartford mainstay since 1909, outlasting almost all other downtown retailers. Since then, it has been a destination for insurance titans, politicians, and celebrities such as Gregory Peck, Dan Quale, and Jim Lehrer. Did you know that Stackpole Moore Tryon was the first American store to carry the iconic Burberry trench coat?
When it was time for Stackpole Moore Tryon to change hands, Ron and Jody welcomed the opportunity to merge their modern upscale clothing store of 38 years, Tuesday’s, with the classic Hartford institution. The Morneaults have kept that same spirit alive, with the new moniker, Stackpole Moore Tryon Tuesday’s which continues to bring quality, style, and a sense of history to each Hartford customer.
